Hammersky Vineyards- Why You Can Drink Wine For A Healthy Heart

Hammersky Vineyards

The shining green light from the car dashboard clock read 5:23am. Ouch. West coaster sleepers must have just been hitting the REM cycle about this hour. I cautiously drove around the winding dark, black roads of Paso Robles, California headed to set for a modeling shoot. Little did I know what a treat I was in for…

Arriving to the gates at the Hammersky Vineyards, I felt like I was transforming into a fairy tail. The night sky was still pitch black, but the stars lit up the top of the barns and fields with cows mooing at night. As I sat in hair and make up on the second level of the main house, I watched as the sun lit up the land outside around me. Lines of plants twisted and knotted the backyard of the property and the once hidden cows appeared out of the nights darkness as they grazed between the grape vines.

Stepping out again onto the property as the sun rose offered all new visuals of this magical place. Rays of sunlight hit the back of the white house just perfectly and I was able to take in the majestic beauty of the estate. Back in the house, stunning rooms with walls painted crisp white and black accents of furniture offered an appealing interior. My favorite part was this little bathroom that faced west and shinned as the morning crept in:

The top floor had 3 rooms, one painted yellow with twin beds, another all black with mirrored furniture and the third room bed-less with a floor length mirror and white couch. Most commonly used as the bridal suite for weddings.

The sky provided sunshine all day as we crept into the afternoon. Exploring the property further was the most picturesque white barn with stunning light wooded beams along the walls and ceiling. I was all the sudden feeling all “I do-y” and imaging my wedding filled with close family and friends. This place just oozed “love” and “forever after”.

The spectacular barns don’t end there. Just to the right of the barn pictured above, is the tasting room. I didn’t get a chance to experience the tasting room this time around, we weren’t drinking on the job, people! But ill definitely have to come back and try it!

There’s been extensive research done on wine and drinking red wine moderately helps your heart. The American Heart association says drinking one to four ounces of wine a day can boost your heath benefits.
